This civilian hunting jacket is based on the "Lizard" (leopard) camouflage from France. The light cotton fabric has an attractive, eye-catching color tone with light green ground color and reddish brown and dark green strokes. Lizard camouflage was widely used in French military paratroopers from the late 1940s (and later developed into the original tiger stripe ), and was also widely distributed for hunting in the civilian market.
This item is the civilian version (locally made). It has four practical pockets on the front, and the light cotton poplin provides a comfortable fit. Although the tag is missing, it is presumed to be made in France from the tailoring, fabric, and color scheme. Various vintage documents and circulated items show that work/hunting makers at that time made jackets in lizard fabric.
In good condition. There is no noticeable damage, and the coloring is still in good collectible condition. This jacket is not only for town use, but also recommended for your collection as an excellent item that tells the history of camouflage of French military roots. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please note that it is a used item and cannot be returned.
