This is an M59 advisor shirt in ERDL leaf camouflage, presumably worn by soldiers of the 9th Infantry Division, who served in the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s. The camouflage fabric is presumably locally made, and unlike the fabric supplied by the U.S. Army as government-issued items, it was manufactured in a separately manufactured lot and faded strongly, giving it a wonderful faded yellow impression. The QM stamp remains, and it is a valuable piece of clothing that was used in the middle of the Vietnam War, dated 1966.
There is one missing button on the left sleeve. The leaf camouflage is one of the representative camouflage of the Vietnam War and was used by some elite units along with the tiger stripe. While many soldiers wore OD colored uniforms, the fact that they wore camouflage had an impact on the danger and difficulty of their unit's missions, making it a very high status piece. We will treat it as a used item. Please note that returns are not possible.
