The "US Navy Deck Jacket" is now in stock, clothed in vibrancy and history! This jacket shines with the individually procured patches worn by soldiers who were active as aircraft mechanics in the U.S. Navy from the Vietnam War period to the 1970s, and were on anti-submarine patrol duty around various bases.

Contract number DSA-100-68-C-1136, this is an actual item made in 1968. The navy cotton poplin material has a moderate texture and has faded well after years of use, creating a vintage look. The cuffs and hem are frayed, but there is no major damage and it is in good condition for daily use.

On the chest, a leather name patch reads "JACKSON F.A. AMS3 NAS GTMO BAY CUBA. It is the one and only personal touch that indicates the mission at Guantanamo Bay (Guantanamo, Cuba). Below that, a "USNAS SOUTH WEYMOUTH MASS" shield-shaped mission patch is sewn on, suggesting assignment at U.S. Naval Station South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

On the back are five brightly embroidered patches. At the top, "NAVSTA KEFLAVIK VP-49 '1971'" is a historical testament to the 71 deployment of the Patrol Squadron (VP-49) stationed at Naval Base Keflavik, Iceland. The "Patrol Squadron 49" circular patch in the lower left also claims affiliation with the patrol squadron. The "FORTY-NINER" woodpecker (woodpecker) patch on the lower right conveys the comical and powerful image of the squadron's mascot. The "Iceland ASW Group Semper Vigil" (Anti-Submarine Warfare Group/always on the lookout) triangular patch on the lower section is imbued with the squadron's mission as an anti-submarine force.

Some of these patches have been removed, and the scars are realistic, showing the changes of the times and the owner's progress. This jacket has a "trace charm" that cannot be expressed in a new jacket.
