This item is from the 1969 contract, in a MEDIUM-LONG size. Made from 100% cotton OG-107 ripstop fabric, it is a garment that dates right back to the height of the Vietnam War. The size is MEDIUM-LONG.

On the chest are a “BOYCE” name tape and a “U.S. ARMY” tape, with the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) and Parachutist Badge above them.The sleeve bears the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagle” patch, with the unit insignia on the opposite sleeve; rank insignia are also attached to both sleeves.
The patches currently attached are not the ones that originally came with the jacket; they are believed to have been added during a later restoration. However, the insignia and patches themselves appear to be authentic items from that era.
In other words, please consider this not as an “original piece with patches,” but as a restored item: an authentic jungle fatigue jacket that had its patches removed at one point and was subsequently reconstructed using what appear to be authentic insignia and patches.
The jacket itself shows fading and signs of wear from actual use, and the edges of the pockets and placket exhibit vintage-style color fading. Its charm lies in the unique character of 1960s cotton ripstop fabric—a look that could never be replicated by a brand-new replica.
Additionally, the jacket is currently starched, giving the fabric a stiff feel. The starch can be partially removed by washing it in lukewarm water.
