As a symbol of the U.S. Naval Air Force, the "G-1" shines brightly among the many masterpiece flight jackets. This is a rare vintage G-1, made in 1969 and likely to have been used in actual combat during the Vietnam War. This item is especially rare because the sleeve ribs have been modified to be sewn on the inside, as helicopter pilots used to do.

The contractor identified from the tag is THE MARTIN LANE CO., INC. and as the DSA number "100-69-C-1545" indicates, this is a model delivered in 1969, and is a piece that conveys a part of real military supplies of the time as it is now.

The high quality goatskin (goatskin) retains its softness and toughness for actual combat use. There are almost no signs of wear, and the leather has a natural luster and firmness, and the lining and knit parts are in good condition. Although there are some signs of use due to age, there is no fatal damage or major loss, and the item is in extremely good condition.

Of note is the large size , a size 46. This is also known as the "insignia size, "** which allows space for sewing on multiple rank insignia and patches, and was the preferred size for officers and senior officers. This is a rare specification that is rarely distributed in Japan.

The distinctive mouton collar (boa collar) provides warmth that can withstand winter flight missions and gives the wearer a classic, dignified appearance. The G-1 has been worn as the pride of Navy pilots since before Top Gun, and the original from this era is a supreme example of both history and functional beauty.

It is not "just a leather jacket. It is a piece that wears the soul of the U.S. Naval Air Force as it is. It is a gem of vintage, suitable for both collection and everyday military style. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
