A G-1 flight jacket (MIL-J-7823D / DSA 100-70-C-0484 ) contracted in 1970, which seems to contain the atmosphere of the era as it is, has just arrived. Manufactured by the prestigious BRILL BROS., INC., a proven contractor that supplied many jackets to the U.S. Navy at the time. The size is 42.

This jacket has the original name tag (JON CRESS / LT MC / USNR) and a large scordron patch of USS America (CV-66) on the left chest. The USS America was commissioned in 1965 and served in the Vietnam War and the Mediterranean Sea in the 1970s.

The embroidered patch with the motto "DON'T TREAD ON ME" is one of the traditional symbols of the U.S. Navy. The realistic patchwork, which gives the impression of actual combat use rather than excessive decoration, has a persuasive power and depth that can only be achieved with military specifications. The leather is in good condition, remaining soft and supple. Overall, the leather is naturally aged, but it has a character that transcends the signs of use. The zipper is made by C&C and glides smoothly. The mouton collar is blackish and gives a calm impression typical of the 70s.

Among vintage G-1s, one with personal history is very rare. Please enjoy the charm of the "real thing" that you cannot experience with mere replicas or reprints.
