A 1990-issue, authentic U.S. military 6-color Desert Camouflage combat jacket.

One of the camouflage patterns emblematic of the U.S. military during the Gulf War, commonly known as “Chocolate Chip.” Featuring a large tan and brown camouflage pattern interspersed with fine black-and-white rock-like motifs, this design—unique to 6C Desert—has an overwhelming presence that makes it instantly recognizable among the many U.S. military camouflage patterns.

According to the inner label, this item is DLA100-90-C-0584, from the 1990 contract. The contractor is AMERICAN APPAREL, INC., and the material is 50% COTTON / 50% NYLON. The size is MEDIUM-REGULAR, which is in high demand.

The front features four large pockets with flaps, showcasing an extremely military-style, practical design. It possesses the distinctive presence of a desert combat uniform designed for operation in desert terrain, and today, it makes for an outstanding fashion statement when worn casually.

The 6C Desert is an indispensable piece when discussing U.S. military desert gear from the 1980s through the early 1990s. The 1990 contract, in particular, strongly evokes the historical context leading up to the Gulf War the following year, in 1991.This is more than just a camouflage jacket; it’s a genuine vintage piece that allows you to experience the U.S. military’s equipment system of that era firsthand.

Condition: Used. It features the unique wear and texture of fabric that comes from actual use, giving it a character that new items simply cannot replicate. Since the color of the 6C Desert softens and changes with repeated wear and washing, the distinct character of a used piece from this era is a major part of its appeal.

Please note that returns are not accepted for used items.
