a reissue that comes as close as possible to the original.

That is the MILITARIA 1911 Reissue Tiger Stripe Series.

We are re-releasing the MILITARIA 1911 Souvenir  Jacket, originally released in 2023.

While there was only one type of gold tiger-stripe fabric available in 2023, this time we’re offering three different fabric options.

The lining features 100% cotton, Japanese-made reissue ERDL Green Leaf camouflage fabric. Because it’s ripstop,

it offers ample durability. Both the outer and inner layers are finished with 100% cotton fabric.

This jacket is designed to be enjoyed as a blouson in a wide range of seasons, including fall, early winter, and spring.

The exterior features two large pockets. The zippered front fly uses a durable Japanese-made YKK aluminum zipper. There are no interior pockets. This jacket fully captures the atmosphere of the Vietnam War era.

Depending on your preference, you can also customize this jacket with embroidery on the front or back.

Of course, since it’s made from our store’s signature tiger-print fabric, you can enjoy the fading process. Please enjoy watching the color change over the years.Since it is 100% cotton, it is machine washable, but please avoid using a tumble dryer or washing it too vigorously. It will shrink when washed, but you can minimize shrinkage by gently stretching it while wet and allowing it to dry slowly in the shade. As it is cotton fabric, it will stretch slightly with wear.

The Tiger Stripe Cinema Edition recreates the tiger stripe patterns seen on the costumes worn by characters such as Captain Willard in the films “The Green Berets” and “Apocalypse Now.”

The fabric is extremely lightweight, and compared to the other two styles, this jacket is the lightest, making it a lightweight jacket you can easily throw on. You can enjoy not only the atmosphere of the Vietnam War but also the patterns and colors featured in these classic films.

: What Is the Cinema Edition Tiger?

It is well known that all the tiger-stripe uniforms used during the filming of *The Green Berets* were authentic,

, but the costumes used during filming were later sold off to Hollywood film studios and reused in other movies. For example, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “The Deer Hunter,” and “Apocalypse Now.”

The tiger-stripe fabric worn by Captain Willard, the protagonist of “Apocalypse Now,” is actually the same fabric used in “The Green Berets.” MILITARIA 1911 researched and sampled these authentic costumes and has recreated and reissued them as the Tiger Stripe Cinema Edition.Lightweight fabric. This Cinema Edition Tiger Pattern is highly recommended for movie enthusiasts.

Nowhere else in the world will you find a Tiger Stripe reissue that so faithfully recreates the movie costume.
