This is a tiger-stripe shirt that appeared during the latter half of the Vietnam War and is referred to by collectors as the “Late War Pattern.” Its appeal lies in the flowing stripes—which differ from those of the early and mid-war models—and its unique color scheme with subdued contrast; it enjoys great popularity as the quintessential tiger-stripe pattern produced toward the end of the war.

Its most distinctive feature is the lightweight fabric, so thin that the lining shows through.
