This is a 1971-1972 U.S. Navy Construction Corps of Engineers SEABEE tour jacket. This jacket is also known as a VietJan by some enthusiasts. The jacket is tailored with a U.S. Army poncho liner and embroidered with the individual's name, affiliation, assignment, and date. It appears that blue fabric was used for the lining, and the blue color has migrated due to rain or washing. The embroidery is of course not computerized, but was done by a craftsman of the time. The place of assignment was MEKONG DELTA, and this is a very valuable gem in that it is a tour jacket of a soldier who was engaged in the construction of a base in a key point of the U.S. Navy. It is finished in the colors of the South Vietnamese flag with embroidery on both chests on the front and dragons on both arms. Although there is some color migration, it is in very good condition and can still be enjoyed. The buttons on both sleeves are missing. This is a great item for those looking for a tour jacket. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
