This is a USAF Major's OG-107 shirt, a privately procured Poplin shirt that has been converted to short sleeves. Pilots and airmen often add pen pockets to their shirts, and I believe this shirt also has them, using the fabric from the sleeves that were cut off. This is the same fabric. The shirt has rank insignia, branch & name tape, U.S. Army pilot insignia, and South Vietnamese pilot insignia, and was probably worn by American advisors who were sent to the South Vietnamese Air Force at the time. All of the tapes are locally made and all are tailored, and are presumed to have been first applied. Although there is some fading, the overall condition is clean and remains typical of the U.S. Air Force. There are no missing buttons. This is a very rare shirt from a very rare setup.
