This is a tour jacket of a soldier belonging to the 173rd Airborne Brigade, one of the elite in the U.S. Army. On the back is a large division emblem, affiliation, the letters 1967-1969, which is the period of service, and VIETNAM, and on the back is engraved the attachment to and pride in the division, though simple. On the front is a simple tiger, "MAC" HEADSET embroidered and a dragon on the sleeve. It probably belonged to a helicopter pilot or helicopter crew. Of all the tour jackets from the Vietnam War, the one with the elite division embroidery is a very rare and popular item. The jacket itself is worn and faded. The lining is a simple white satin fabric with some stains, but there are no major tears and the jacket is still in very good condition for enjoyment. This item is perfect for those who are looking for something with a different motif than the typical Vietnamese map. We hope you will enjoy it. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
